Hands-On Art for Bay Area Students
Project LOOK! fosters children's understanding of art by connecting gallery visits to discussions and hands-on art experiences in the studios of the Palo Alto Art Center. Young people in Project LOOK! explore their imaginations and creativity, improve their teamwork and problem-solving skills, and appreciate cultural and community diversity.

How Does Project LOOK! Bring Art Home?

School groups participate in a lively, docent-led tour of the galleries followed by hands-on activities in the Project LOOK! Studio.
Teachers receive additional curriculum materials and activities to use in their classrooms.
Children go home with a positive museum experience, encouraging them to return with their families.

Support for Project LOOK!
Project LOOK! depends on a combination of support from the City of Palo Alto, private contributions, and fees to cover its costs.

The City of Palo Alto provides core funding for the program.
The Palo Alto Art Center Foundation provides nearly half the program's budget, with funds raised from community donations, corporations and foundations.
